Numpty is a bean in the Dumb Ways to Die series who set fire to his hair.
About[]
You will often find Numpty hanging with his brother, of a similar name, on a wall. One particular day he discovered fire. Curiosity killed the cat, but Numpty doesn’t like cats, so he thought this must be a good thing. Needless to say the matches were lit and landed square on Numpty’s head. He now does public speaking for baldness.

Appearance[]
In the chorus
Numpty is a blue, oval-shaped bean. Throughout the series, he is mostly seen with his head ablaze, but is sometimes seen without the flames on his head.

In the video, a dandelion is shown, and three of its seeds are blown away. Then Numpty is seen running down a dirt path towards the camera with fire on top of his head, terrified.
April Fools Ways to Die[]
In the beginning of the video, Numpty does not have fire on his hair, but his child adds a whoopee cushion on his chair, later pulls the rope and kicks Numpty and falls in the fire and acquires the fire on his hair again.
Trump Ways to Die[]
When Trump walked into the solarium, he came from behind it and he increased the temperature to Trump's machine before hiding behind it. In the chorus, he is a Standard Dancer.

In the video, Numpty was sitting next to Dippy, and he doesn't have fire on his hair.
Make the Beans come to life![]
In the video, Numpty is seen after the text "More Fun" where he is watching a player play a game on a console.
Dumb Ways to Celebrate Fourth of July[]
In the video, he is seen along with Doofus are about to board into a train. After that, he and Pillock are seen with fireworks starting in 3 seconds.
Camp Dumb[]
In the video, he is seen along with Doofus where they were getting the firewood for the fire while he tripped on the rock causing the wood to drop. He then came back to the campfire but he accidentally set his hair on fire and then he started running and bumps into Doofus then both celebrate.
Numpty's Birthday Party[]
At the start of the video, Numpty is seen setting up his birthday party, but soon gets worried, as he thinks no one will arrive. His strife is soon ended, though, as a decapitated Putz and Stupe, a skeletal Ninny, a charred Dimwit, and Pillock, all arrive to the party.

Dumb Ways to Die (application)[]
Numpty can be unlocked for the Train Station, as the 9th bean to arrive at the train station in all versions. In the versions from 2013-to-2020, 1600 points are required to unlock him. In late 2020, 500000 points is required to unlock him. He is also the 48th thing to be unlocked in the present versions.
- Hot Head

The player must tap the screen as fast as they can to make Numpty run, which will make the fire slowly disappear. If the player taps enough times to make the fire go out before the time is up, Numpty will throw his arms up happily, and he's now bald but be pleased of being safe. Otherwise, he will fall over and the flames will consume the screen.
- Hair Rescue

An update to the game gave Numpty another game. In it, his fiery hair caused a building to go on fire. Here, the player must drag the trampoline below Numpty to stop him from hitting the ground. If he bounces enough times, he will be bounced to the top right of the screen and lands in a stretcher. Upon landing on it, the fire on his goes out and the stretcher holding him will be loaded onto the ambulance. If they lose, Numpty will fall flat on his face. After that, the ambulance will run over him before leaving again.
- Break An Egg

Numpty has an Easter minigame where the player must tilt their screen to keep the egg on the spoon. If the egg doesn't fall off, then Numpty throws the egg on his head, which puts out the fire, and Numpty rubs his belly in satisfaction. Otherwise, Numpty will trip and the scene goes up in flames, similar to his first minigame (Hot Head).
- Spain in The Butt

There is also a Europe minigame where the player must use their finger to guide Numpty away from the raging bulls. A bull becomes enraged when it turns red and charges forward. If the bulls are avoided long enough, Numpty is seen riding a bull. Otherwise, Numpty is knocked forward and trampled by the stampede.
- Firework Fiasco

Numpty has a 4th of July-themed minigame, he is seen trying to light a firework, but the fuse falls off and it catches fire, scaring him and making him throw it in the air. It then is thrown from the bottom of the screen, and will fall down; if it happens, the minigame will be failed. So, the player has to tap on the firework to keep it airborne. If they succeed, Numpty will successfully catch the firework and throw it in the air again. It will explode, and he will calm down. If the player lets the firework fall, it will explode while on Numpty's hands, which will char him and set his head on fire once again, resulting in failure.
- Tap To Turn Off
Unlock by default for a limited time
In his Thanksgiving minigame, Numpty is cooking the turkey, you have to turn off the four distractions by tapping on them until the time runs out. If the time runs out while all four distractions are closed, he will see a turkey that is cooked. If you don't turn off, he will call on the phone and one thing will explode, which will char him again and set his head on fire again, resulting in failure.
Dumb Ways to Die 2: The Games[]
Once he is unlocked on the map in Dumbest of the Dumb, he can appear in the far-right side of the map. The player can tap on him to make him have fire on his head, gets sleepy, then falls to the floor.
The following lists the minigames featuring him:
- Aaaahhhh!
Alien Numpty was attacked by bugs. You have to help him get rid of them by tapping all the bugs. If so, his head will catch fire and his body splattered all over with bug juice. Otherwise, he will be turned into a skeleton, failing the minigame.
- Sing!
Numpty is seen in that minigame, along with Lax, Dippy, Botch, and Loopy where you have to tap at a right timing. If so, the reindeers will clap their hooves. Otherwise, he and the other characters will get buried under an avalanche, failing the minigame.
Dumb Ways to Die 3: World Tour[]
He can't be obtained from gifts but only his costumes obtained from gifts. He is unlocked by default.
Dumb Ways to Draw[]
Numpty is seen in some levels where the player has to guide him to the swimming pool and avoid obstacles like an axe and a sword. Guiding him to the swimming pool will make him wash himself in the pool and put off the fire on his head, completing the level. If he touches the axe, he will get sliced into half. If he touches the sword, it falls on his head. If he touches the spiky ball, he dies but there is no cutscene.
