We will be holding a poll for calling beans with "unknown" gender "gender-neutral pronouns like they/them" in wiki pages. It has been suggested that it should prevent being confused by their genders that's "temporarily assigned" by community as well as should reduce biased perception about their genders.
For the method of the poll, it will be hosted in either a blog post or a Discussion post and will be an open vote where every voter and their vote will be visible publicly to prevent rigging the vote. Each user can leave a comment to choose one out of three options - Support, Oppose, Other and they may leave a reason for their vote along, but it's not a must except for the Other option.
And currently, we're thinking about whether should we also allow anonymous users to cast votes or not, since we've been worrying that allowing so may let the vote to be vulnerable to rigging. However, we need to make sure hearing your opinion about this before we deciding either way.
